Initially, the company focused solely on wholesaling a wide range of products from kitchenware, hardware, to consumer goods. In 1995, Nirchand Enterprises N.V. decided to diversify and shift their focus from wholesaling to retailing. The company completed the transition to retail only and started Furniture City in 2003. Furniture City has three conveniently located stores in Paramaribo, Suriname where we offer a wide range of products. Our mission is to provide our customers with excellent service; from the moment they walk into the store to even after they leave. Whenever you purchase a product, we will deliver and assemble it in your home free of charge (within Paramaribo). At Furniture City, our goal is to be the leading furniture and home appliances retailer. Through new and innovative product introductions, superior quality and excellent customer service, we aim to achieve our mission.
