Parea is an association of gay, bi- or transsexual (GBT) men in Suriname with a higher education or comparable career. Parea serves as a support network, providing Surinamese gay professionals with social and business contacts to further their careers and enrich their lives. Parea members have carreers e.g. in education, consultancy, IT, bigger (state) companies, or as entrepreneurs. But we want to contribute to society as a whole as well. Our members organize projects which benefit the whole society. Parea members want to lead by example and foster a positive image of the Surinamese GBT community.
